Durante una entrevista concedida por Reggie Fils-Aime, presidente de Nintendo América, al medio GameSpot, en el que habló sobre su trayectoria profesional en Nintendo, destacó su labor en el impulso de Nintendo DS y aclaró que odia las comparaciones generacionales, acotando que cada generación tiene lo suyo y que Nintendo 3DS es una clara evolución de su predecesora, aportando la posibilidad de jugar títulos en 3D sin necesidad de la utilización de gafas, así como la reciente compatibilidad con los amiibos, etc.
